The story behind The Hub Jam is simple: I believe every student deserves access to quality education, no matter their background or circumstances. After years of teaching in schools, I saw firsthand how pressures on teachers and traditional systems can leave some students behind—especially when it comes to subjects like Maths and Physics.

That’s why I created The Hub Jam: to offer affordable, low-barrier entry to high-quality online courses that put students’ confidence and enjoyment first. My goal is to make learning accessible, supportive, and genuinely fun—so every student can thrive, not just survive.

My History

East Finchley, London…

Growing up in East Finchley, London, I was always captivated by the idea of exploring new horizons. I’d spend afternoons watching Tube trains at Cherry Tree Wood, imagining all the places they might go. Sometimes, I’d scrape together just enough for a trip out to Heathrow—just to watch planes take off and dream about the world beyond the runway. Those early moments of curiosity and wonder laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for discovery and learning.

A sense of adventure…

That same adventurous spirit shaped my journey through education. Studying for a BSc (Hons) in Combined STEM with the Open University meant I could combine learning with travel—sometimes finishing assignments in hotel lobbies at sunrise, halfway across Europe. It taught me that education doesn’t have to be tied to a classroom or a postcode. Flexibility, curiosity, and a love of learning can take you anywhere.

Sussex University…

After completing my PGCE at Sussex University and earning Qualified Teacher Status, I taught Science and Maths in secondary schools along the South Coast. I saw first-hand how traditional systems can leave some students behind—especially in subjects like Maths and Physics, which can feel daunting without the right support.

And the Hub Jam is born…

That’s why I started The Hub Jam. My mission is to make high-quality education affordable, flexible, and accessible—wherever you are. Whether you’re learning at home, worldschooling on the move, or just looking for a better way to learn, The Hub Jam is here to support you. I want to break down barriers and offer engaging online courses that fit around your life, not the other way around.
